JK Simmons

DVDs out today

Knight and Day - Cameron Diaz and her horrendous Boston accent gets caught up in Tom Cruise's crazy CIA action-packed conspiracy. (This movie was surprisingly delightful and I think it was because Tom Cruise was in his comfort zone being a complete nutcase.)

The Sorcerer's Apprentice - Jay Baruchel is chosen to be Nicolas Cage's protege in this live action version of the beloved scene from Disney's Fantasia. (Again, this movie looks great because Nicolas Cage is being his normal crazy self and Jay Baruchel calls him out on it the whole time.)

Hilarious, Gruff Goodies

Underrated movie of the post:
Juno. Ellen Page and her friends and family deal with the humor-ized consequences of teenage pregnancy. (JK Simmons was beyond hilarious in this movie and his delivery of his one-liners were perfect. He's always spot on and usually makes any film much better just by being there.)

Movies to see:
Knight and Day, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, Juno.

Trailers of the post: Dramas

Dead Awake. Nick Stahl has to deal with his dead girlfriend by hanging out with a girl who speaks to ghosts? (As you can see by the question mark, I have no clue what the plot of this movie is and I refuse to actually look it up online.)

Restless. A quirky girl meets a strange boy and they fall in love. (This looks absolutely beautiful and I cannot wait to see it. I'm a huge fan of this Mia Wasikowska girl. She's pretty awesome.)
