John Cusack, Part Deux

Movies out today:

Monsters vs. Aliens - Yay pointless child's movie that makes you laugh til you cry! Plus it'll be fun with the all-star cast behind the voices. (Ex. Stephen Colbert, Reese Witherspoon, Hugh Laurie, Seth Rogan, Kiefer Sutherland, etc.)

Haunting in Connecticut - Completely NOT interested. Ghost movies are my list of things not to see. But it does have Reed from CSI:NY. Yay!

12 Rounds - I hate to admit it, but this movie actually looks okay. I mean, we all know John Cena can't act when he's outside of the WWE, but this plot line looks far better than the plot line for The Marine. Anything is better than that plot line.

"Don't you just love him?" goodies.

Underrated movie of the post: Grosse Point Blank. Because you don't normally see John Cusack as a hitman going to his High School Reunion. (Just that should make you want to see it, if you have interests in anything at all)

Movies to see: Grosse Point Blank, Monsters vs. Aliens, and, yes I'm going to put it on here, 12 Rounds (but don't quote me if it turns out to suck).

Trailer of the post: 2012. Here's the synopsis quoted directly from everyone's favorite movie site, IMDB, "An academic researcher leads a group of people in a fight to counteract the apocalyptic events that were predicted by the ancient Mayan calendar." Now here's the trailer:

Looks interesting, no? A little reminiscent of Day After Tomorrow, but John Cusack instead of Dennis Quaid. No hot boys to replace Jake Gyllanhaal, though. Too bad.

Name 7 John Cusack (part deux): Igor, Being John Malkovich, Pushing Tin, Grace is Gone, Serendipity, Con Air, America’s Sweethearts.

John Cusack was in Serendipity with Kate Beckinsale who was in Underworld with Michael Sheen who was in Frost/Nixon with Kevin Bacon: 3 steps AND I used Michael Sheen for the first time. Yay!

Quote Quiz #56 winner: No one and I am HIGHLY disappointed in both Katrina and Katie. I've forced you both to watch Cry-Baby! You should remember all the ridiculous-ness of that movie! Shame on you! SHAME ON YOU!!!!
Here's the scene. You may want to fast-forward through all the nasty kissing scenes. John Waters takes it to the extreme. Just wait til it loads and go to 3:20.

Quote Quiz #57: name this John Cusack movie:
"But the way I look at it is this: the day we can actually feel and hear all the suffering of mankind, that's the day when "The Christ" will come back! So we got that going for us."

a. High Fidelity
b. Better Off Dead
c. War, Inc.
d. America's Sweethearts
