Thomas Jane

DVDs out today

Paper Man – Jeff Daniels has an imaginary friend who just so happens to be Ryan Reynolds in spandex. (I was sold at Ryan Reynolds in spandex.)

Stone – A man about to retire must first close his last case, determining whether a prisoner receives probation, but finds himself in a twisted game controlled by the prisoner and his wife. (This movie looked way too weird and even though I love Ed Norton and Milla Jovovich, I don't think I'll be seeing this one.)

Takers – A group of criminals trying to pull off their last heist run into some difficulties. (This movie just looks like a bunch of douche bags running around. No thanks.)

Punishing Goodies

Underrated movie of the post:
Deep Blue Sea. Genetically engineered sharks terrorize a scientific lab station in the middle of the ocean. (This movie is beyond ridiculous but at the same time it is beyond hilarious. It's one of those movies that when you see it on TV you have to stop and watch it.)

Movies to see:
Paper Man, Deep Blue Sea

Trailers of the post: Dramas

Limitless. Bradley Cooper finds an amazing new drug that makes him essentially superhuman and Robert De Niro isn't having any of it. (I'm not sure I like movies that have the main character behave like a complete ass because you always know how it's going to end and it's never good.)

The Beaver. Mel Gibson has a mental breakdown and can no longer speak unless it is through a puppet shaped like a beaver. (This movie is stupid. If the plot were even remotely interesting I might be on board, but it is essentially a biopic about Gibson's life with a beaver puppet.)
